Our Story
Betty K Agencies Ltd. began in 1920, not as a shipping company, but as a solution. C. Trevor Kelly needed a way to move lumber for Kelly's Lumber Yard. What he built became one of the most trusted freight carriers in The Bahamas — and over a century later, it still is.
We are Bahamian-owned and Bahamian-operated. That has never changed. What has evolved is how we serve: today, Betty K Agencies Ltd. coordinates two weekly sailings between South Florida and Nassau, carrying everything from personal effects to heavy construction equipment — with the same commitment to reliability that has defined this company since its founding.
Our US Agent
In September 2024, Betty K formalized its relationship with King Ocean Services as our exclusive US Agent, operating out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. King Ocean brings deep expertise in Caribbean freight logistics and shares our commitment to reliable, customer-first service.
Together, we provide seamless cargo movement between South Florida and Nassau — two sailings every week, year-round. Whether your shipment originates in the United States or The Bahamas, our US Agent ensures it moves efficiently and arrives when you expect it.
