Betty K First Time Shipping: A Step-by-Step Guide

First, request a quote. You can use our online form or email us directly at Info@bettyk.com. Once you have a quote, you’ll know exactly what to expect for cost and timing. Generally, quotes are returned within one business day, so you won’t be waiting long to plan your next steps.

Next, prepare your cargo according to our guidelines. For example, documentation requirements vary depending on what you’re shipping. Vehicles, household goods, and commercial cargo each have their own specific requirements. Because of this, it’s worth reviewing the details ahead of time rather than waiting until drop-off. Visit our How to Ship section for step-by-step instructions specific to your shipment type.

After that, drop off your cargo at the designated Fort Lauderdale facility before the cutoff date. Because cutoff times vary by sailing day, it’s worth confirming the schedule in advance. Otherwise, your shipment could miss its sailing and need to wait for the next one. Fortunately, our team is always happy to confirm cutoff times if you’re ever unsure.

Finally, your cargo sails on its scheduled day. Cargo departs Fort Lauderdale every Saturday and Wednesday, arriving in Nassau on Mondays and Thursdays through our US Agent, King Ocean Services. From there, your shipment is on its way to Nassau, right on schedule.

Above all, we want your first shipment to go smoothly. If you have any questions along the way, our team is available Monday through Friday. Simply reach out to us at Info@bettyk.com, or contact us directly and we’ll walk you through the process.
